What's included in the free plan?
30 test runs per month, 1 repository, and 1 user. KIT (the code-intelligence graph) is free and unlimited on all plans, including Community. No credit card required.
What counts as a "test run"?
Every time Kerno runs a scenario against your app, that counts as one test run. If an endpoint has 5 scenarios and you validate it, that's 5 test runs. Creating a scenario, updating one, and replaying a baseline against a code change all count the same way.
Can I switch plans or cancel anytime?
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. No long-term contracts.
Can I try Kerno before paying?
Yes. The free plan is fully functional with no credit card required. Install the CLI (npm i @kerno/cli), authenticate, and start validating. Upgrade to Pro when you need unlimited test runs or more than one repo.
What's the difference between Pro and Enterprise?
Pro gives you unlimited test runs, repositories, and users, with team analytics and CI integration. Enterprise adds SSO and SAML, self-hosting in your own infrastructure, audit logs and data controls, a custom DPA, and dedicated support with an SLA. Pro is enough for a single developer or a small team. Enterprise is for organizations that have security and procurement requirements to meet.
Is there an annual discount?
Yes. Annual billing is roughly 25-30% off compared to paying monthly.
